However, they shove 20-25 students into one class. Pay caps at $2800/class for a 10-week graduate course. They claim they are a 'not for profit' but they are all about student retention at any cost. The only downside for working at SNHU is that the expectations for instructors are high and they cannot be met well within the announced hours per week. The pay is stagnant and a bit low, but the job market is glutted with people who want to teach, so there is no pressure for SNHU to raise salaries. As a supplement to my full-time work in other job areas, the SNHU gig has worked well, since it is asynchronous and offers excellent interpersonal support.
